“In the summers I would visit my grandparents in Arkansas. I only recently identified sandalwood as a smell closely linked to that time and place. Their home was full of hand carved wooden artifacts from their travels. Other distinct memories are my grandfather’s pipe tobacco and hours spent playing in the barn’s hayloft out back.”
